What is migrated from Omikai 1 to Omikai 2

What is migrated from Omikai 1 to Omikai 2

Goal

This article explains what data is migrated when moving from Version 1 to Version 2 of the system. It also shows how to review the results and handle items that are not migrated.

Procedure

Step 1 — Review what is migrated

The lists below show the migration status for each data type:

Warning
Items marked “not migrated” are not transferred because Version 2 uses a different architecture. Plan how you will recreate or replace these records in Version 2.

Step 2 — Prepare before you migrate

Before moving to Version 2, prepare information for items that are not migrated:

  • List the time reports you still need, including date ranges and references.
  • List the transports you still need, including carrier, dates, and related orders.
  • List open purchase documents you still need in the Purchase module (numbers, suppliers, articles, quantities).
Idea
Export or screenshot lists from Version 1 so you can easily re-create what you need in Version 2.

Step 3 — Validate migrated data in Version 2

After the migration completes, verify key lists and a few sample records:

  • Open each list (for example: companies, contacts, orders, customer invoices).
  • Search for a few well-known records and open them to check fields, references, and attachments.
  • Compare counts with your Version 1 reports where possible.

Step 4 — Recreate items that are not migrated

Use your standard process in Version 2 to add the items below:

  • time reports — add records for the periods you still need to track.
  • transports — create new transport records and link them to the correct orders.
  • Purchase documents — create new purchase records in the Purchase module as needed.
Warning
Do not delete your Version 1 data until you confirm that all required information exists in Version 2.

Step 5 — Check items that are “mostly migrated”

Some items are migrated but may need review or minor adjustments:

  • work objects — verify fields, options, and links used in your workflows.
  • price lists — verify currencies, rounding, and article mappings.
Idea
Compare a small sample from Version 1 and Version 2 side by side to confirm field values and calculations are the same.
