Order - Delete

Order - Delete

Goal

This article explains how to delete an order and, as a safer alternative, how to cancel an order. Follow the steps below to complete the action in the system.

Warning
Deleting an order permanently removes it and may create gaps in the order number series. This can raise questions during audits. If unsure, consider cancelling the order instead of deleting it.

Procedure

Step 1: Find the order

Open the list of orders. Use the search box to find the order by customer, order name, or order number.

Step 2: Select the order

Tick the checkbox to the left of the order you want to remove.

Step 3: Click the trash can

Click the trash can icon in the upper-right corner.

Step 4: Confirm the deletion

Confirm your decision to delete.

Warning
A deleted order cannot be restored by the system.
Idea
Instead of deleting, you can cancel the order. Follow Steps 5–10 below.

Step 5: Find the order to cancel

Go to orders and use the search box to locate the order by customer, order name, or order number.

Step 6: Open the order

Double-click the order to open it.

Step 7: Open Status

In the top bar, click "Status".

Step 8: Click Cancel order

Click "Cancel order".

Step 9: Confirm the cancellation

Confirm your decision to cancel.

Step 10: Check the result

The order is now cancelled and shows the status "cancelled".

Warning
A cancelled order cannot be restored by the system.
