Working with global contacts

Goal

Use this guide to edit an existing contact and to add a new contact in the system. You will also learn how to create a global contact (a contact not linked to any company).

Procedure

Step 1: Open the contacts list

In the CRM menu, open the contacts list.


Step 2: Open a contact

Double-click the contact you want to open.


Step 3: Edit the contact

Click the field you want to change. Press Enter or Tab to confirm the change.


Idea
Tip: Use Tab to confirm the change and move to the next field quickly.

Step 4: Add a new contact

Click "Add new" to create a contact.


Step 5: Fill in details (global or company contact)

Enter the contact’s details.

To link the contact to a company, choose one in the Company field (select from companies).

To create a global contact, leave the Company field empty. When you are done, click "Save" to create the contact.


Idea
Tip: A global contact is not linked to any company.

Step 6: Return to the list

Click "Show list" to go back to the contacts list.
